XII Std.Online Admission Application Forms

Admissions to First year of Degree Course (Arts, Commerce, and Science) normally begin immediately after declaration of results of the XII standard by HSC Boards. Admissions to Second and Third year begin after declaration of results of respective previous classes.

Admissions to UG Courses in the college are made on Merit basis as per guidelines of the university. Admission and Counseling Committees for various streams are formed by the college to educate students in selection of subjects and in filling in their admission forms. Appropriate facilities are provided by Administrative Office of the College for submission of application forms and fees.  

For admissions to PG courses and Research Centre in Geology a Notification regarding Entrance Examination is published by Shivaji University, Kolhapur (in the latter half of the Second Term). Merit List of eligible students is then sent to college. The actual admission formalities are completed at the concerned department in the college. 

Prospectus of the college with admission form is made available at the beginning of the academic year in which the general outline of admission process is given. Students seeking admission are advised to read the prospectus thoroughly before filling in the details in admission form.  
Notices for admission to Career Oriented and Skill Based Short-term Courses are displayed on college Notice Board before commencement of each course. 

Cancellation of Admission 
For the cancellation of admission the written application is required along with the no-dues certificate from concerned departments. 


Rules for Refund of fees:

  • If the student applies for the cancellation of his/her admission before the beginning of the academic year, the tuition fees, semester fees, laboratory fees will be refunded. Admission fees will not be refundable.
  • The student, who fails to apply for the cancellation of admission before the beginning of academic year, is not entitled to the refund of admission fees, semester fees, and laboratory fees. But the tuition fees will be refunded after deducting fees for the period up to the month of his application.       
  • The fees structure of the senior college is semester-wise, therefore, the admission cancellation and the refund of the fees will only be considered according to the semester.   
     
  • The students, who have enrolled in the college with the relaxation in the fees from the government, have to pay the fees in cash according to the rules.
  • Fees on cancellation of admission to following Non-grant courses are not refundable.

Instructions for students
  1. Students should verify and confirm the selected subjects before submitting the application form.
  2. Recent Passport size photograph of the student is necessary on duly filled in and signed identity card of the college.
  3. It is mandatory for the students from other junior colleges to submit the original ‘Leaving Certificate’.
  4. The students are supposed to submit the original mark sheet of XII standard along with one duly attested photo copy of the same.
  5. The students who have passed XII and seeking admission for the first year of undergraduate course in the college have to pay an eligibility fees of Rs. 75/-. The admission of the student will be confirmed in the college only if the University issues the certificate of eligibility. Therefore, it is necessary on the part of the student to fill the form of eligibility along with the admission form of the college.  
  6. The repeater students will not be admitted in the college. 
     
  7. The students from other senior colleges who seek admission in the college are expected to fill the form of transfer certificate along with the DD of Rs. 50/- of any nationalized bank against the fee. 
     
  8. The students from other states or from other universities in Maharashtra who seek admission in the college at any under graduation course have to pay the fees of Rs. 300/- along with the admission form. It is expected from such students that they should furnish the Migration Certificate, attested photo copies of mark sheets, passing certificatewith their forms. 
     
  9. After admission process is completed, change in optional subjects is generally discouraged. In special the forms of change in subject can be considered only with the approval signature of the teachers of the respective subject and before the display of final roll calls of the classes. Students should verify and confirm the changed subjects finally. No application of change in subject will be considered after 15th July. An administrative charge of Rs. 20/- will be applicable in such cases.

Postgraduate Department of Geology 
 
  1. This is the only center for PG program in Geology viz. M. Sc., and Research Center for M. Phil. and Ph.D. in Geology affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
  2. A rare collection of rare minerals, rocks and fossils is displayed in the geological museum of Geology Department
  3. The Centre, through the medium of Shivaji University gives the notice of advertisement for M. Sc. I in the month of February/March.
  4. The interested students of B. Sc. III should fill the admission form in the stipulated time.
  5. Center also provides training facilities from government centers and research institutes
  6. Centre is acclaimed and appreciated at the national level for its good result and placement at different international companies.

  1. National Cadet Core (NCC): Only 56 physically fit students interested in military training from junior and senior wings of the college can be admitted in 56MH.BN-NCC.

  1. National Service Scheme (NSS): The students interested in social work can apply for the participation in NSS. Only 50 students from junior wing and 150 students from senior wing can take part in this scheme. Since, the academic year 2012-13 the Shivaji University has declared that the students who successfully complete the two years of NSS and have participated in the special camps will get extra 10 marks in the final year result.

Eligibility for University Examination

Only the students who follow the rules may appear for the University Exam
  • 80 %  presenty should be there for whole academic year.
  • Home work for each Semester, Unit Tests, Semester Exam, Project Report, Oral Exam, Science Practical etc. should be completed before the due date.
  • NSS students should submit Completion certificate of expected work issued by the concern person.
  • Certificate of well condition ‘NSS kit’ returned should be submitted.
  • For above rule none will be excused on account of Job or other excuses.
  • It is necessary to get certify ‘Study Tour Report’ and ‘Journal’, syllabus wise.

The student should fill their exam form within due date. The student will responsible for the educational loss, if s/he could not fill the exam form within given due date. To avoid this, they have to be use to read the College notice board carefully and frequently. It is beneficial for students, if they see and workout the instructions, regarding different kinds of Scholarships, Examinations, fees, etc.
Even after filling the examination form, it is expected that student should present for each lectures till the end of semester.

Physical Education (Only for Part-I)

Practical exam of Physical Education is compulsory for B.A., B. Com., and B. Sc. Part-I students. University conducts 10 marks practical exam for this subject. Those students who fail for one or two subjects get benefit of this exam marks to pass. However, according to the University rules such students cannot take the advantage of this mark to obtain the grade or for any other purpose.

Centre for Competitive Examinations 

The college has started the Centre for Competitive Examinations for the M. P. S. C., U. P. S. C., Banking, Railway, and other competitive examinations. The students who are interested in these examinations should contact to Prof. P. B. Zavare. Curricular and Co-curricular Activities
All the admitted students of the college have been given the opportunity to participate in the various curricular and co-curricular activities of their interest. To pave the way of artistic talent, the college organizes various activities and exhibitions like study associations, scholarly speeches of scholars from different fields, literary gatherings, conferences, seminars, oratory competitions, essay competitions, Quiz contest, poetry reciting, storytelling, green wallpapers etc. Study supporting materials and equipments such as slides, films, audio-video clips are being used at the various classes as per need. Special coaching is being given for the 11th and 12th std. Science students, as per GKG Pattern, by forming subject wise and merit wise first 20 students’ batch.
