Taking in to account the importance of the computerisation in every field, college decided to introduce three years degree  programme at undergraduate level and thus the department came into existence in the year 2001. After passing 12^th science, some students specifically choose B.Sc. course because they are well aware about the importance of computer science and its scope.  Also they have finalized to do the career in same. The students are made aware about the B. Sc. course, its importance and opportunities in various sectors such as academic institutes, research institutes, IT companies and industries etc.  They are motivated for participating in different activities such as seminar competitions, quiz competitions, science exhibition, making scientific models essay writing and much more.
